Because of modernization, it has become easy to travel and explore different parts of the world. So, people often visit another country for business or tourism which follows some demerits such as cultural barrier. Every community follow their own customs, but it becomes a problem when people from different places interact with their own local behavior. To overcome this problem, I believe the people of host country should have welcoming mentality toward the visitors customs, and the visitors should respect the traditions and cultures of the places, they visit.
First of all, every country has their own rules and regulations which has to obey, by the people whether they are citizens of the country or just a traveler. Before visiting any country, a person should have knowledge about these rules, for not breaking any law of that country. For instance, it is illegal to drink in public in many muslim countries such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc., whereas it is completely legal in America. Therefore, someone can not have a drink in any open place in a muslim country, just because it is completely normal in their home country. Secondly, a visitor should respect another countries traditions and maintain those for the sake of the local citizens, that will eventually increase the mutual understanding between the people of different cultures.
On the other hand, the country receiving guests, should be respectful toward them, as they do not have any knowledge regarding local traditions. Having welcoming mentality toward visitors and their cultures will motivate them to visit more often if they can connect with the place and people heartfully. For example, USA has much more diversity than any other country in the world, because they adopt different cultures and help people adapt to them.
To conclude, I think people should respect each other cultures and traditions to maintain a peaceful society and adapt according to the need of prosperity and peace.
