People have different views about adults living alone as opposed to staying in their parents’ homes. While there can be some benefits to living with parents, I believe that living independently is usually more effective.
On the one hand, it is recommended for adults to stay with their parents for some reasons, one of which is shared financial responsibility. In other words, since children and parents live together, they share accommodation and household expenses, such as paying taxes and utilities, which is an opportunity for children given by the parents to improve their financial stability. In addition, parents themselves can benefit from staying with their offspring. This is because when parents get older, they may need a caregiver who can shoulder the responsibility of tending to their personal and medical needs. In that case, their children are usually the best options, thus they are persuaded to stay with them.
Despite these arguments, I advise children to move out after becoming an adult. And the primary reason for that is the need for more privacy. To explicate, as juveniles grow older, they will require more privacy, especially for socialization. Thus, it is advised by their parents to live independently so that they can gain the privacy they need and leave their older parents alone, in peace. Furthermore, living independently can help adults acquire the skills needed to cope with daily problems, such as utility bills and managing housework, which must be mastered before marriage.
In conclusion, while sharing accommodations with parents can aid people in the transition to adulthood more safely, I believe that younger generations must live on their own.
