Leaving the house of the parents has long been a hot topic of discussion for long time Some people say that adolescents should depart from their childhood house as soon as they become adults while others oppose that children ought to stick with their parents as long as possible. In my opinion, being separate at younger ages of the adulthood increases chances of independence and responsibility.
On the one hand, living apart from the parents teaches young people financial and emotional independence. By working for themselves, youngsters learn how to save up their money which is opposite of the times where money provided by parents was wasted. Some items that were bought with parents’ money are now not affordable. So, children start restraining themselves from the purchases that are not necessity. That educates children to be financially responsible. Moreover, being independent also teaches being tough emotionally. Since there is no parents’ shoulders to cry on, children have to learn how to handle situations like adults. So, being financially and emotionally independent is the big step towards being adult.
On the other hand, parents are the shields of their children. They protect their children at any cost. Hence, living with parents guarantees safety. Moreover, there is less worry about financial burden. So, children can buy whatever they want.
In conclusion, even though it is more convenient to live with parents as long as possible, it may make a person less responsible and independent. Therefore, I strongly believe that children have to head out of their parents’ house as early as possible.
