Nowadays, the issue of the amount of taxes that should be collected from residents has become one of the most discussed topics in the following decade. On the one hand, the vast majority of dwellers believe that funds deducted to essential public needs such as roads and schools should be increased. On the other hand, a significant part of individuals feel that the tax bill is already costly.
It is not argued for nothing that the poor quality of public institutions and transportation would have been notably better if devoted costs were higher. However, taking my home country, Ukraine, as an example, most charges are not used properly due to corruption. Even in the Parliament of Ukraine, the fraud is probably happening at the moment. In addition, some even manage to steal from charities, trying to save up money. Although corruption undoubtedly takes place in every region, the taxes cannot be risen due to the fact that everyone is suffering from the expenditures on equipment for soldiers.
Nonetheless, if war hadn’t occurred in the first place, the expenses on community wants could have been increased. Moreover, taxes themselves would get much greater, so the standard of living would grow, so we could enter the long-wanted European Union.
From my point of view, currently, in the state of my country, taxes cannot get larger than now since my nation should only focus on defeating our opponent. I can predict that the amount of money we would be obligated to spend on reconstruction on my land would result as greater taxes.
Overall, both opinions can be argued, but everything depends on the state of the republic.
