In the present epoch, the debate about reducing packaged items has been gaining ground recently. While proponents advocate that it is the responsibility of companies and supermarkets, Opponents hold a diverse view. I believe that this approach is a cooperative work between individuals and businesses to avoid the detrimental effects of plastic bags. In this essay, I will examine both perspectives with relevant examples.
On the one hand, a category of individuals believe that goods packaging such as plastic bags has deleterious impacts on wild and marine life, and it should be reduced from the retailers. In other words, when a business owner sell his products, it is easy to replace a plastic bag with an eco-friendly one. Consequently, there will be a reduction in the usage of plastic materials and no harm will be caused for the eco-system. A prominent example of that is the chain of Carrefour hyper markets, that has provided pacakaging which made of economic materials. Thus, what can be said is that big and small businesses play a vital role in preventing this issue.
On the other hand, it is a well-known fact that the major steps come from consumers and they play an instrumental role in enhancing the environmental well-being. To illustrate, if a customer purchase his necessities in a bulk, it can directly reduce the usage of harmful materials. An eminent example of that is a study which was conducted by a leading think tank that people who prioritize buying most of their goods at the beginning of the month, have a great influence in developing the habitat. Therefore, not only do individuals have enormous effects on eco-system, but they are also benefit the over all environment.
In conclusion, after this essay has manifested above views, it can be assumed that a cooperating balance should be sticked among the community. I am convinced that cooperative work is indispensable for preserving our planet.
