The global warming has been the main topic of conversation for many years. One reason leading to global warming is plastic packaging of goods. Some argue that manufacturers and supermarkets have the responsibility to reduce the amount of packaging of goods. Others argue that customers should avoid buying goods with a lot of packaging.
Discussing from the perspective of manufacturers and supermarkets: In my view, manufacturers and supermarkets should reduce the amount of packaging of goods. However, the demand and supply are the main considerations. Supermarkets need to decrease their expenses, so they use the amount of packaging of goods to lower their costs. For example, the packaging process in the industry is easy to produce goods, while other methods of producing goods have a higher price.
In my opinion, manufacturers and supermarkets should reduce the amount of packaging of goods as long as it does not affect the demand and supply process.
Discussing from the perspective of customers: There are also several reasons why customers believe the amount of packaging of goods should be avoided. One reason is global warming and the challenging recycling process. The packaging process and packaging materials can have a more significant and impactful effect on the environment. For example, when waste packaging is thrown into the water, aquatic animals ingest it. Furthermore, the waste cannot be digested in animal stomachs, leading to animal extinction.
In conclusion, although both arguments are logical, in my view, manufacturers and supermarkets should adhere to principles and regulations regarding waste management, and customers should avoid buying goods with a lot of packaging.
