There are disputes about whose responsibility it is to decrease the quantity of packages, either producers, supermarkets, or customers. In my view, manufacturers should diminish output, and then consumers will stop buying.
Logically, producers must take responsibility for redundancy waste because global output has become a pollution crisis. Obviously, the number of packages produced depends on manufacturers and the demand in the market. And the supermarkets should massively stop consuming the products in order to decrease consumption. As most manufacturers aim to profit, units of them care about the quantity of waste and contamination of the soil.
However, people should not shift the burden to others, as they are the main reason to produce and sell. Customers must buy less packing things, or better yet, stop using them, to prevent pollution and to be an example for the next generation. Moreover, using ecological alternatives by aware individuals instead of plastic wrapping helps to improve the environment.
In my opinion, there is no necessity to produce and consume so many packages, which eventually end up in landfills. In my opinion, the consequences will alter the future of the Earth. If enterprises thought about the environment, there would not be such a catastrophe.
