A particular division of society believes that planning to utilize leisure time is better. Whereas others argue that it might lead to wastage of time. This is a topic of discussion in the current society. Therefore, this essay will be looking upon the two perspectives in detail with supporting arguments and an example and will conclude with my opinion.
Firstly, when we take proper time to decide and arrange a leisure trip or a day for leisurely activities, it will help us to use our time in a proper manner. This will allow us to divide our time fruitfully, which will reduce the unwanted wastage. Consider the example of a person who works as a project head in a renowned MNC dealing with lots of clients, How will he/she find time for their family chors ? Of course, they might be having a plan of what and how things needed to be done for a whole month. Therefore, planning activities helps us in multiple ways to effectively utilize time as well as reducing our stress.
On the other hand, if someone is allocating big portion of their time on planning, it will gradually reduce their skill to respond to immediate situations. Like planning ahead, it is also important to know that there might occur circumstances where we need to take decisions for a moment. For example, when one of your close friends is in a lot of stress and you need to give them a relief. What will you do? Will you wait for the time to take him out and plan for it? The answer will be a no. Therefore, planning always does not make sense. If we suddenly plan a trip and get a beautiful memory from it, we can keep that forever.
To the conclusion, despite having positives to support planning the leisure time activities, there exists negatives as well. Hence, one who needs to take a decision on what strategy he should be following should depend on the reason or element upon which a decision is to be made. In my opinion, I am of a character who always plans my leisure activities suddenly and I never have to regret for that till now.
