A key to success has long been questioned by many. To that end, it is suggested that if one succeeded in adulthood, it is largely due to their upbringing given by their parents. I agree with this view for two compelling reasons.
Discipline is, undoubtedly, in the thick of success, which can be developed trough rigorous and well-established nurturing. It is a trait that many people strive to have, but fail, not least because lots of time should be dedicated to gain it. To become disciplined, one has to be capable of keeping abreast from plenty of things, such as entertainments, which obviously require tons of experience. Parents, in turn, do ease this process not only by supervising, but also giving some advice. Indeed, it is such a challenge to bear this burden without parents’ support, making their role indispensable in one’s success in their career.
Success in personal life should not be disregarded either. In most cases, people’s insecurities and mental problems stem from their childhood, and alas, parents are blame for that. This means that if one has a good marriage and family life, it is thanks to their parents. Upbringing is exactly what determines one’s mental stability and ability to cope with stress, because children are susceptible to the environment. For example, it is common for children to be compared with their peers by their parents, causing problems with self-esteem. Having low self-esteem hinders making new friends and acquaintances, let alone building a family. However, given that parents avoid making such mistakes, it can be inferred that a child will not have any serious problems with mental health.
In conclusion, I am convinced that success in adult life, be it in career or personal life, is mostly depended on the way one was grown by their parents.
