Some may think art can only be created by those who have special talents. However, this view narrows the definition of art to fine sculptures, paintings, or symphonies. Actually, artistic ideas and creations are becoming increasingly achievable to ordinary people.
In truth, artworks created by famous artists deliver not only unique aesthetic experiences but also thought-provoking ideas, which, without sufficient artistic quality, are difficult to achieve. However, as more genres, styles, and theories are created, the boundaries of art are being pushed outward. Gradually, the process of artistic expression contains more than just hues and melodies; it also involves quotidian things and unconventional ideas. People can use easily available materials like bottles, ropes, and wood pieces to create representations of emotions, values, and what they perceive as beauty. As a result, art is no longer an exclusive skill owned by only talented individuals; it has become a ubiquitous activity that everyone can participate in.
Apart from the easily obtained materials, the widespread availability of effective tools is another factor that makes artistic creation easier for the average person. For example, digital cameras and smartphones have made photography easier than ever before. Features like filters, autofocus, and editing tools enable most people to produce fabulous photos and videos, which used to be a rare quality possessed by only professional photographers. Similarly, the prevalence of AI assistance makes drawing pictures more attainable. It involves nothing but entering keywords and waiting for the picture to be generated. This process significantly removes the technical barriers to be a painter, thus allowing more people to turn their imaginations into artworks.
In conclusion, I personally do not think art can only be made by people with talents. As art encompasses more forms, styles, and approaches, together with increasingly available materials and tools, more people can engage in artistic creation.
