In the contemporary times, due to advancement in technology kids indulge a majority of their spare time using smartphones. Certain people favor a saying that parents should arrange activities for children to spend their free time. Whereas, some have contradicting views saying kids should have the freedom of choice with how to spend their spare time. In my opinion, the pupils should be given the right to choose what they want to do in the spare time. The essay will depict views from both perspective.
On the one hand, since we are living in the 21th century each individual has the right to decide how they wish to spend free time. However, every person has a different idea of spending the free time. Since, the children spend a majority of time doing tasks or activities designer by the teachers their free time should include task they are found of. For instance, certain people like to engage in indoor activities such as watching movies, baking or playing board games for that matter. Whereas, some prefer outdoor events like hiking, participating in sports or hiting the gym. On the other hand, parents deciding activities for their children to spent the spare has been a good practice. Since, they have experience and knowledge on what activities will be useful in the future in terms of personal growth. Even though, activities chosen by the parents will not seem fun in the current sutiation and will be completely different from what other kids of their age are doing the kids will be thankful in the future. However, recreational activities differ from person to person and forcing the child to engage in a certain activity may lead to unpleasant behavior towards parents.
To conclude, even though activities organized by parents will enhance their growth the children should be given the freedom on how they wish to spend the free time.
