When it comes to scientific research, a school of thought holds that too much scientific research nowadays is money and time-consuming. I disagree with this assertion although acknowledging some reasons behind it.
It is understandable why some people assume that scientific research wastes a lot of time and money. To conduct research, scientists have to spend most of their time in the laboratory in a week or even a month, a year to supervise its reactions. If experts do not pay full attention to their work, research may create some dangerous reactions that do harm to both scientists and other people. With such research, the government has to support subsidies to help scientists do many trial experiments before inventing true items. However, spending money and time on research is really reasonable, without scientific research, the country’s development cannot develop well, it may keep the same position throughout the years.
Additionally, I am convinced that doing research is necessary for a country’s development. Scientific research is an important way before experts invent new digital technologies. Digital tools such as phones, laptops, and computers, are beneficial in terms of education, medicine, work, and communication nowadays. Moreover, scientific research plays a vital role in healthcare, especially advancing medicine. Due to medical research, doctors are inventing new drugs and medicines for many diseases. For instance, during COVID-19, scientists developed vaccines for individuals suffering from this pandemic. As a result, this breakthrough helped contain the pandemic and save millions of lives.
In conclusion, evidence suggests that scientific research is not a financial waste. This has several benefits, including the development of medical science and digital technologies. Without scientific research, there would not be a modern and developing world.
