In today’s world, a part of society believes that theoretical and factual knowledge is given higher importance than practical knowledge at every stage of education. This essay agrees with them. Firstly, hands-on learning has a deeper impact on an individual. Secondly, it does not require students to rote-learn for their tests.

To support my argument, I would like to say that acquiring education through experience provides individuals with something they cannot forget. It provides an opportunity to see the experiment happen in real time and understand details which they could have missed in the textbook. For instance, students can see in real time if the chemical changes are happening in an experiment in their chemistry lab and see the byproducts and results, providing a solid foundation.

In addition, I would like to say that applied study would help them understand things better and not focus on memorizing everything for the upcoming test, but remember the things throughout their lives, which would be used in future employment. For example, an engineer-in-training would find it helpful to have developed his or her skills in a workshop before applying for the job.

To conclude, universities and schools have been using old, objective, and textbook-based schooling instead of focusing on new skills and experimental schooling. Firstly, it would provide them with long-term knowledge for their careers. Secondly, it provides them with upskilling of their knowledge and skillset. It would be helpful for students to use newer technology before entering the corporate world.
