Vehicles are essential for travelling purposes. Because of this, some individuals believe that bicycles should be used as a mode of transportation, while others argue about its disadvantages. However, from my perspective, it is a best means of commute because it offers lots of benefits with only few drawbacks.
To begin with, bicycles should be used as they do not damage the environment. In addition, unlike other vehicles they can function without petrol and, therefore, do not release harmful gases like carbon monoxide. Moreover, due to its low cost it becomes feasible for poor people to afford it and save their financial resources from additional expenses that are usually involved in case of other modes of transportation. To illustrate, in developing countries this is the most common means of transportation because of its affordable price and its requirement for less maintainence, which help poor people in saving their money to purchase basic necessities. Therefore, its benefits makes its an excellent option.
On the other hand, there are few disadvantages of using it, which can be overcome by adopting appropriate measures. To explain further, there is no doubt that they are not safe to be driven on roads or near roads because passing vehicles with high can collide with them, which makes it quite dangerous for its users. Furthermore, one has to leave in advance while using this means of transportation to reach at their destination as it is impossible to speed them up in case of emergency. However, these challenges can be handled by building dividers on roads to create separate lane for them and installing electric motors to modify their speed.
In conclusion, although there are a few disadvantages of owning this means of commute, they can be tackled by adopting appropriate measures. Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that bicycles should be the most chosen option because of their benefits and affordability.
