Parts of the society believe that the counterpart of the world wide web, helping to socialize due to the possibilities in communication, is the quite dramatic loss of soft skills and therefor the ability to interact with a humankind on an every day basis.
If you think of the internet as a tool of endless possibilities you might want to reflect on you own behavior regarding the use of devices and the time it is consuming. Researchers already did find a correlation between the rise of mental illnesses in the age group of 11-29 years old and the amount of time they spend infront of their smartphones, laptops or tablets. This causing effect, again, is one of the main issues this group has a hard time on finding real connections in their real life.
Another argument to mention is even if there is communication going on, most of the time you are talking to complete strangers. Stranger you can’t be sure of age, sex, country and so on. But why is it important to know this kind of facts from people you are communicating with? Our brain, no matter what will depict this strangers even if you are actively trying no to. If you do so, you surely being to do so in real life but without the communication. To end the circle on can have a pretty damaged view onto the people in real life just because of wrong communication with strangers in the world wide web. If you think just a hypothesis, go on and google for “terror organizations reaching out via internet” to mention the most dramatic example I have got.
To mention both sides, there isn’t just bad things about the internet. The possibilities to communicate with loved ones is one of the best reasons why to use it. No matter where you or the other person is. You can always have a chat, send pictures, emails, and so on.
If you have read the counterpart closely you noticed the detail do you communicate with loved ones because of distance or do you chat with strangers to hide. I am pretty sure the internet is toxic and negative room and you have to reflect on your own behaviour all the time. But if you do so and stay withing the borders and have a real life with real connections, it can be a really good tool to stay connected.
