Band 5+: Some people say that it is possible to tell a lot about a person's culture and character from their choice of clothes while others think one can't be judged on the basis of one's clothes. Discuss both the views and give your opinion

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, Some people believe that clothes show a lot of things about a person’s personality and culture. They think one of the ways to know someone and describe his character is observing what he wears. On the other hand, others argue that judging someone by their clothes is not fair because clothes do not always tell the truth about a person. I believe that we should not judge people based on their clothing choices.

Many people choose their clothes based on comfort, weather, or fashion trends—not because of their personality or beliefs. For example, a person may wear casual or simple clothes but still be hardworking and smart. Judging someone for preference what he wears can cause misunderstanding because clothes do not show what kind of person really they are really inside.

Also, not everyone can afford expensive or stylish clothes. A person may wear old or second hand clothes because of money problems, not because they are lazy or careless. If we judge someone because of their clothes, we may ignore their real struggles in their life . Character is not connected to how much money a person spends on clothes.

In conclusion, even though some people believe clothes show a person’s culture or character, it is not always true. Many people dress for comfort or because of their financial situation, not to show their personality. Also judging someone because of their clothes can be thought that wrong ideas about him. Therefore, we should not judge people based only that what they wear, Everybody has to try to understand their actions and who they are inside.
