Music has an important role to facilitate communication language from each society. I truly agree that music is a good way to bring people from diverse backgrounds such as cultures and ages together because music has the ability to share an emotional medium and unite society.
Music lends to the hearts of various people regardless of their different backgrounds. This condition occurred because music represents the emotions of humans, encouraging them to relate feelings in reality. When an individual is noticed by song lyrics which connect to life-values, unconsciously their heart is touched to absorb the song and combine emotions and mind. For example, the Independence song from Indonesia, “Indonesia Raya” is able to raise emotions and inflame patriotism among mobs from a variety of tribes spread throughout Indonesia.
Moreover, music can build a bridge between communities in order to create compatible and mutual respect. For instance, music collaboration between two different tribes lend symbolism to unity, medium of exchange, cultural and solid relationship.
Despite this, music may separate society as the identity of each group. Each resident has their own characteristic of music instruments, which have a purpose to renowned their style in general points. It represents general habits or kind advice from their ancestors. As illustrated by gamelan from Javanese tribe, it has particular output instruments more diverse than instruments from the Dayak tribe, “Sape”, in order to show each identity. Both also have their own characteristics based on meaning within the lyrics and rhythms throughout the music.
In conclusion, music has two sides in society, which is the ability to reconnect mutual but also restricted individuals.
