In today’s world, our lives have a great impact on the new generation.
Some people think that adolescents’ lives in the millennium are more stressful than those of older generations, while others object to this perspective. This essay will discuss both perspectives and illustrate why new generations are more stressed than older ones.
On the one hand, all sectors of life have been revolutionized. Teenagers have become threatened and have to face massive changes in all aspects of life, including education, technology, communication, and the job market. For instance, the use of mobile and new digital tools has increased the level of stress in adolescents. To clarify, as per a recent study made on two groups of teenagers and published by Tokyo University, the group that experienced more stress was the one that had used smartphones for a longer time. Conversely, new generations need to acquire many digital skills to cope with new-era innovations.
On the other hand, new generations are lucky to have such innovations, which make their lives easier. The development of new digital tools and innovations facilitates our lives. Additionally, teenagers are able to express themselves and display their abilities to influence society positively. For example, younger people in the past were not able to enjoy the same rights and participate in many social activities. Moreover, new inventions have enabled teenagers to achieve their goals and become more ambitious.
To conclude, some think that adolescents of the new millennium are more stressed due to the risks of using technology and rapid changes in society. While others disagree and feel that they are lucky to witness new innovations, in my opinion, teenagers nowadays are more stressed due to intensive workloads and the need to cope with new technology.
