There are competing views on whether the loss of particular species of plants and animals is the main environmental problem, while others believe there are worse issues affecting them. My take on this leads to another root cause of many environmental issues.
Human daily consumption belongs to plants and animals, and the effects of disturbing those habitats will affect the food chain. Plants such as vegetables and fruits are eaten by vegetarians also meat is consumed by some people. As the primary consumers, humans relied on nature as producers which is used to grow and survive. However, the cycle is linked in an ecological community, associated with each other through the transfer of energy and nutrients.
Others think that there are more important issues in the environment such as climate change which caused negative impacts in many ways. This includes rising temperatures, drought, flooding, or things we depend on such as human health and infrastructure. Nowadays, we can see in the media that climate change is happening globally, but the effects might vary in different locations. This climate crisis not only be impacted on the ecosystem but also society by affecting the economy by increasing poverty or spreading diseases.
In conclusion, although flora and fauna play a key role in the lifecycle the removal of even one element can harm the ecological community. However, I believe this problem is also caused by climate change as a major issue that will create multiple effects on the earth that impact our lives.
