At the present time, it has become common that a considerable percentage of people spend a lot of their income on sports and cultural events. Although there are some benefits of spending money to attend such events, I am of the belief that it negatively affects the individuals and the society.
On the one hand, paying much money on sporting and cultural ceremonies has several merits on the mental and physical aspects. To illustrate, either attending cultural celebrations or doing some sports are advantageous. For example, if parents invest their earnings making their youngsters play sports, it can develop their children’s physical status. Similarly, cultural events widen everyone’s awareness by gaining more information. Thus, the money spent on buying tickets for such events are not useless; as it positively affects both physical and mental status.
On the other hand, I side to that there are far more drawbacks of wasting much money on the mentioned ceremonies. In other words, saving the huge income spent on watching sporting and cultural celebrations can be beneficial in education or supporting some charity institutions. For instance, providing learners with the needed tools or improving the learning process in the developing countries is more recommended. In addition, using money in donations helps to reduce the poverty proportion. Therefore, using the funds to increase the life status of the poor and the education process has a positive impact on the whole community.
In conclusion, while I recognize the mentioned advantages of buying tickets to go to sporting and cultural events, I consider it to have an adverse influence.
