Some people state that the invention of computers is a groundbreaking invention as it has made some fields of life easier. Others, go against this viewpoint as they think computers hold the responsibility of making life a lot more stressful. I have to disagree with the second opinion, as computers have created a comfortable space for a lot of different categories of people.
To start, I would like to point out the importance of these machines in facilities such as institutions. In the past, banks, universities, and post offices have had their fair share of difficulties due to the great amount of work and the inability of human workers in concluding all the bureaucratic task at a fast speed. Nowadays, with the increment of computers in office spaces, it is easier to fill in the information in half the time used in the past, which leads to a more relaxed workplace and tasks, per customer, finished rapidly than previously.
Another great example could be one of the university applications processed online only, which grants the ability to apply to different facilities and courses at a faster speed, and offers an easier connection with admission teams via personal email for further details and simpler communications.
Another example supporting my thesis would be the simplicity with which we research information daily. Students who are searching certain topics for school projects can easily access online libraries and archives to enrich their research and add more relevant information to their assignments, scoring a better grade.
In-depth research is easier and far less time-consuming than the one done directly on-site, as happened in the past when consulting each book took a great deal of time due to the human inability to research topics with just a “click” on the keyboard and the smart usage of a keyword.
