People have different views on whether the money should be spent on faster public transport or on other important issues. However, spending money on the sources of fast public transport would have a positive impact. I would argue that spending money on other issues is vital.
On the other hand, faster public services provide convenience for public transport. Firstly, spending money on faster public transport would bring comfort to citizens’ lives, particularly commuters, by reducing the time to and from work. Due to this, people will get more leisure time, which increases productivity in the workplace. They don’t need to get up early to go to work and to get a seat on the bus. They will have more time to prepare before going to the office or school, and have breakfast with their families.
In contrast, spending money on the serious issues is crucial, as environmental pollution and living costs. The faster public service will cause more traffic as it increases day by day, and consequently, more traffic in big cities. These vehicles emit fumes from engines, enhancing air pollution. This may cause various health problems as respiratory disease and nasal cavity infection. Another main problem is the cost of living, which affects the lives of people, so they have to cope with challenges. If this problem is left untreated, then it may cause concerning problems.
In conclusion, spending money on public transport is positive, but other issues are also concerning. The government ought to spend more money on issues like living costs and the environment to tackle future outcomes.
