Many people consider that squandering funds on medical assistance and schooling reasonable choice and useful for us. It is my belief that in our time it would be more beneficial to spend money on space exploration. In this essay I will discuss two views before I expline why I reckon that learning about space flight most important.
On the one hand, including studying science and technology in education individuals scientific literacy. That is to say, funding healthcare and education may save poor from financial ruin in case of illness, and help them secure a good job through education. For example countries like Finland invest heavily in free public education, which guarantees high employment rates and economic stability for all citizens, regardless of their background. Therefore, investing in these basic creates a soild foundation for the prosperity of society as a whole.
Nevertheless, it seems to me that space exploration is more important because our Earth has limited resources and space. There are many problems on Earth, such as global warming, and I believe that funding space exploration will help us find a new planet similar Earth. For instance, Elon Musk has already started developing advanced rockets with vision of colonizing Mars and relocating humans. In short, discovering new frontiers is essential for long-term survival of humanity.
In conclusion, although both views certainly have some validity, it seems to me that in our modern era we should strive to discover new frontiers and develop them for the future humanity.
