People have differing views as to whether traveling abroad is beneficial or results in several issues. While traveling to foreign countries could have disadvantages in terms of financial difficulties and threatening national identity, I firmly argue that the advantages of exploring new countries should be prioritized. This essay will discuss both views and present my own opinion.
On the one hand, international travel can have the potential to create financial problems and leads to the loss of national identity. If people travel to other countries regularly, they are more likely to allocate a substantial amount of money to organizing their trips, buying tickets, and accommodation. As a result, they potentially encounter financial hardship, thereby struggling to find enough money to cover their living expenses after returning home. Additionally, many people prioritize living in foreign countries rather than going back, thus acquiring a new language and embracing other traditions and cultures. Therefore, they eventually forget about their national customs and culture, resulting in the loss of identity and traditions. A case in point is my country, Uzbekistan, where many people, especially youth, gravitate towards exploring new countries and settling down there for a prosperous future.
On the other hand, taking international trips offers numerous benefits as they broaden one’s horizons and can serve as an entertaining activity. When individuals visit other countries they gain new knowledge by talking to foreigners and get insights into different destinations, significantly improving their understanding of the world. Furthermore, many people find it relaxing and enjoyable since international travel allows them to escape their ordinary lives and provides fresh experiences. In a world where stressful situations have permeated every aspect of our lives, it is of paramount importance to spend time on traveling and discovering different cultures.
In conclusion, although traveling abroad could pose some problems associated with financial management and undermining national identity, in my view, it also allows people to enhance their knowledge and provides new places to explore.
