It is argued that having many short holidays is better throughout a year while others believe there should be fewer, longer holidays [beneficial].Although individuals might burn out from building up by 1. short breaks [short/long], I side with those who believe that a longer break gives people enough time to recharge fully.
On the one hand, having frequent and short breaks enables individuals to feel/experience less stress. Nowadays school students spend a great deal of their daily time studying from morning until the late evening. Encountering a plethora of daily school tasks causes children to feel more exhausted that in turn negatively affects their mental health. Having a frequent break can help exhausted students to distract/ switch their attention to a new activity. Thus, students are more likely to return to their studies more energized. However, having a short holiday is not always enough for students. However,a few days of holiday might not be sufficient to recover from significant stress.
On the one hand, longer breaks may provide enough time to fully separate from studies or work. [These days students spending time on study often have a lack of personal time]. Having longer holidays can increase students’ happiness and pleasure by providing an opportunity to spend leisure time on activities they enjoy, which they often do not have during the school week. For example, while having a break students can enjoy dedicating their time to themselves rather than being focused on school tasks. Thus, individuals can return to their studies feeling more relaxed, and happy.
In conclusion, although having short rests enable students to distract, it is beneficial to have longer breaks in order to feel more recharged.
