A topic that creates intense debate nowadays is the traits required to be a good parent and who is responsible for teaching them. It is argued by some that educational institutions should be the one to educate people regarding these skills. I completely agree with the argument and I will outline my perspective in the following paragraphs.
There are many factors influencing my views. Firstly, schools have the resources required to educate growing students in an effective manner. Classrooms are equipped with expert instructors who can guide their class about parenting using their professional experience. For example, Child Psychology teachers have expertise in human behavior and could teach effectively about how to establish cohesive bonds among family members, especially with infants. Secondly, school is place where the subject of parenting could be efficiently explored. Since teenagers spend most of their time learning in depth about different subjects, adding parenthood course in school curriculum would be beneficial to be aware about the topic.
Furthermore, the schools could reach the masses in developing skills required to be a good future parent. Some teens lack the experience of being a good parent at home and for them if would be advantageous to learn such skill elsewhere. For instance, some children live in a family where there parents are not in good terms with each other and some teens are born in a family of single parent, which makes them lack the parenting experience. In addition, such unfortunate young individuals rely on educational specialists to be taught about the traits so they could build a better futute family. So, young people could learn through books and different media namely presentation and tutorials in class.
To conclude, I agree with the people who believe that school is a place to learn about techniques required to be a good parent. There are several reasons based on my agreement which are experts in education, schools teach about such discipline in depth and for some students it is impossible to gain the experience at their home.
