Band 5+: Some people think schools should group pupils according to their academic ability, but others believe pupils with different abilities should be educated together. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Some people state that schools must opt their students regarding their academic abilities, whereas other people consider choosing students who have different abilities such as social abilities studying altogether. In this essay, I will argue both statements and give my own perspective at the end.

On the one hand, in terms of advantages of students who have academic skills, the first plus point would be for those whose aim is to be either a doctor or a lawyer. The reason of this statement is that both a doctor and a lawyer demands a great deal of rote, which help students learn academic talent from each other. To illustrate, it would be a great opportunity for my brother who aims to be a doctor in the future as he would have much more information about many subjects. Another main reason to choose academic students would be encouraging individuals who are not into practical advancements. For instance, some people are obsessed with having academic talents rather than choosing other abilities.

On the other hand, putting students who have such abilites into a class plays a crucial role in every statement. For example, having 30 people in a class with different kinds of abilities, such as a person who makes both national and international food or a person who is multilingual etc. Having students with those types of abilities makes everyone aware of every kinds of talents. In that circumstance, it does not just broaden their horizons, but also questioning their own choice.

In conclusion, it seems to me that although both of them has their own pros, I would choose studying with people with different types of abilites.
