People have different views about whether children should be taught to be competitive or co-operative. While having the sense of competition is beneficial, I believe teaching children how to be more collaborative can help them become much more useful for their community in their future life.
Having the sense of competition have always been a part of the human existence and it is an inseparable piece of our modern lifestyle. Improving children’s competition skills can help them work harder to implement their goals and become more successful. Therefore, it will build their self-confidence and trigger their ambition and lead them to become powerful leaders in the future. It can also prepare them to survive real life competitions like, university entrance exams and job interviews.
On the other hand I would argue that, encouraging kids to be co-operative is more essential. In todays life having co-operation with various people specially in work environment is vital. Furthermore, These skill can teach children to be dynamical and useful while their working in a group and experience the sense of satisfaction from achieving the team’s goal. Regardless of that, children who learn that collaboration and being useful is more important than success are more likely to become humanitarian and do more philanthropic deeds.
Come to a conclusion, people have different belief about upbringing their children to become more co-operative or more competitive. While neither of the mentioned views is wrong I believe that improving children co-operation skills can be more beneficial for children adulthood life.
