Day by day, the ways of marketing are changing. It is often argued by many people that advertisement via TV is impractical. Some people agree with this opinion, and others do not. I completely agree with this opinion, and I think it is a waste of effort.
First of all, I strongly believe that TV is not as popular as it used to be. Using TV as a campaign tool might not reach out to everyone as intended, as it is thought to be; that is because new technological developments block the road between the target group and the brands. Nowadays, people tend to use social media more than TV. For example, a recent study showed that people spend more time on their phones compared to TV. This makes it a pretty complex and unproductive way to advertise the given product to people.
Secondly, it is clear that not every TV ad is efficient; the reason for this is that people prefer to change channels when they encounter an ad. Thus, they build a prejudice against the product, as it cuts their source of dopamine with an advertisement. My dad usually gets pissed off when a campaign blocks his football match.
Overall, running campaigns or ads on TV is impractical.
