Many people believe that art education is an important in school. However, others think that teaching art as a subject in school is mere a wastage of time. In my opinion, Art education should be provided in school to develop creativity and feelings of appreciation among younger generations
To begin with, teaching art in schools is importance as it develops a feeling of appreciation among students. Nowadays many people especially young generations are losing interest in arts due to introduction of others subjects in the school curriculum. So, schools can organize cultural events and art competitions to inculcate the feeling of appreciation among students. Moreover, the art education also develop creativity.
On the contrary, subjects like technology and science outweighs the significance of artistic works for many reasons. Firstly, children are looking for learning those subjects which can help then to find a suitable job. For example, learning science would definitely help in future career. Secondly, parents pressure also not letting students to take participate in the artistic work. They prioritize academic education and think learning music, painting and dance as a mere wastage of time.
To conclude, even though art education provide no professional and monetary support to younger generations, still this helps in developing feelings of appreciation and creativity among students.
