Books are a very ancient invention and since they have been invented reading became one of the most popular entertainment between all leisure activities, includes kids as well. One groups of people believe that children’s story are useless for minor people, but other groups sure that it can be really helpful for them and teaches children how to behave yourself. In my opinion, such kind of stories are not useless, and can help kids in their future, but parents should be aware when they choosing children’s story books for their kids.
On the one hand, reading children’s stories teaches behavior in society. The main heroes in stories can be considered as role model for kids. For instance, the books «Harry Potter» by Joanne Rowling about adventure of three kids teach that you need to be fair, you should defend weak person, should not be jealous as a Draco Malfoy, you need to be brave even if you feel fear, this books show minors how they need to acting in some situations. Furthermore, reading are useful just as a process, because it can help kids learn new words, build sentences in correct form, and such skills are common in their future lives, in universities or jobs.
On the other side, if books are about children’s actions but it does not written for the kids, they can be waste of time and even dangerous. To illustrate, in book «The word of a boy blood on asphalt» author describes cruel actions of kids in Kazan, they do many crimes and at the end they are sent to prison. Such kind of book can teach minors bad things, and if parents don’t explain that such behavior are bad, the consequences can be terrible.
To conclude, I believe that reading children’s story books is helpful for the kids, but their parents should choose it properly.
