In the present age, solving environmental problems has become a controversial topic. While some people belive that environmental problems are too big to solve, others argue that these issues can not be solve until individuals take some actions. In my view, people need to start themselves to solve environmental issues, because without individual’s responsibility this global challenges can not be solved.
On the one hand, supporters of the first view claim that environmental problems are too big. For example, global warming, air pollution, deforestation. One person can not stop climate change alone. For instance, this group supports feel that individual actions are not enough to solve such global problems.
On the other hand, those who disagree argue that individuals play an important role, and I side with this view. The main reason is that govermendet and organizations can not succeed ecological sollutions without public support. For example, if people continue to waste energy, use plastic bags, and ignore recycling ecoligical organizations can not be effective. Therefore, this group supporters thinks that if millions of people take small actions, the effect becomes significant.
To sum up, although both sides make valid arguments, I personally believe that individuals must also take action, because only when governments and people work together can these issues be solved.
