It is often said that some public believed that government should not spend funds on the arts. They should not promote arts more than many essential public issues.
In our country many people are outraged with the concept of government funding on many cultural events and theatre. People believed that there are many issues which are more prioritized like education and public health. For example, as we are developing country, so many children’s are deprived of basic education and health benefits. Therefore, we should focus more on these sectors.
I can understand the opinion of citizens regarding the concern of utilizing their taxpayers money on more important sector than arts. But in my opinion arts is very crucial sector for development of cultural heritage, traditions and well-being of citizens. For instance, does it provide entertainment for all age groups, which help them relieve their stress and be in world full of imagination and help feel relaxed and Concentrate more on their work. Arts like painting, music help many society or communities to get rid of their daily chaos in life and feel alive and therefore, I strongly recommend government should more and more on upliftment of arts.
