A number of people believe Goverment ought to provide subsidy on healthy food like fruits and vegetables to make it accessible while, the opponents say that the goverment needs to regulate tax policy on food detrimental to health. In my opinion, the former stance appears to be more rational.
The role of Government is crucial in granting people with basic amenities of life. In a world where people have to encounter numerous challenges, some say, it is paramount to subsidie fruits and vegetables .Consequently, the availabilty of cheaper sources of food will lessen the burden on people, who struggle to make their both ends meet. In Pakistan, such policies are enforced by Government in the month of Ramadan, that brings huge relief to people. I standby with the notion, that food is considered as the basic necessity to life, without which the survival of mankind is nearly impossible. So, its excess should not be out of the reach to general masses.
On the contrary, unhealthy food choices are posing a great threat to the overall well being of humans and their efficiency. Government should impose tax on food items responsible for deteriorating people health. Teenagers and young people are often more susceptible. Obesity and cardiac arrests are common these days because of unhygienic and unhealthy food. It is generally seen people who prefer eating less healthy food are quiet lazy in carrying out their routine tasks. For exapmle, a survey was carried out in Japan, examining the people who opt for healthy breakfast and those who ate fast food. The findings conclude, people with balanced diet were more effecient at workplace. So, choosing healtheir food is indeed a wise decision.
Compaaring both viewpoints, I firmly belief easy access to healthy food is significant as it is the right of every individual. Also, food on the table always brings with it a sense oof contentment.
