Although some people argue that governments should invest more money in public transport instead of constructing more new roads, others believe that investments in new roads are more necessary than in the public transport side. I firmly agree with the latter point of view, as building more roads can lead to fewer traffic jams in cities, whereas investments in public transport is only for citizens, who use this way of moving.
First of all, spending more money on road construction is one of the best ways to reduce traffic jams. According to this solution it can increase the speed of movement around the city. For example, in megapolises such as Moscow, Tashkent and Astana the time that was spent in traffic jams by drivers reduces year by year because of reconstruction of old roads and building new ones.
Moreover, there are more people who use public transport, however, their number does not reach the maximum among residents. Providing more roads from governments can improve the living level of every citizen. For instance, not everyone in the country uses public transport such as the underground, buses and trains, however, all humans use roads. Therefore, roads undoubtedly require enough investments.
To conclude, although some people use public transport, I believe that the approach of investing in new roads can achieve more benefits for both sides. By providing more facilities for people, a second view leads to the best solution to this situation.
