There is an argue that public transportation should have more funding rather than constructing roads and highways. I absolutely agree with this opinion, because allocating money for public transport will provide people comfortable circumstances and will help to reduce carbon emissions by encouraging people to use it.
First of all, spending money on public transports will give an opportunity to upgrade them to build a comfortable surrounding for residence. It means that people who use public transports will be more happier with this improvement, showing that government care about its residence. As an example for this improvement can be a bus, in Kazakhstan lots of buses do not have cooling system, so in summer it is very hot there. This problem can be easily solved by financial support from government, improving the comfortability in a bus. Consequently, upgrading public transports will provide comfortability of people.
Furthermore, funding public transports will encourage residence to use them and by this they will emit less carbon emissions comparing with using a car. In other words individuals will choose improved public transport rather than their own car, because they will know that government do not build new roads or highways and by this the emissions of carbon will be decreased. According to research from scientists, public transports as a bus carries about fifty people and a car carries about 4 people and it is proved that a bus will emit approximately 12 times less carbon emissions than cars. As a result it is clear that funding public transports can be helpful for reducing carbon emissions.
Summarizing main points, I totally agree with the opinion that government should allocating more finance for public transports instead of manufacturing roads and highways, due to the fact that it will help to minimize carbon emissions and will provide comfortable circumstances for residence.
