Some people think that paid work is a great experience for children, others consider that it may have a bad impact on minors. While working they can have a better understanding of money, but there are some drawbacks that should be considered.
At first, doing paid work helps to children know the value of money and be aware that making money is not as easy as it seems. It means that minors are not going to waste money buying stuff they do not need. Moreover, working teaches children financial literacy and how to save money. This knowledge will help them in future life. Secondly,having a job can help to be independent from parents to some extent. For example, a child can hang out with friends and not ask money from parents, also the one can buy some stuff such as clothes, phone, cosmetics. Working helps children to be more responsible and manage money.
On the other hand, a child should not worry about making money. Childhood is a time for playing with friends and exploring life. They should enjoy this time. One possible issue associated with doing paid work as a child is growing up at an early age because instead of thinking about having a good time, grades at school, and developing the one may concern about the adult problem that can lead to burnout and mental exhaustion. As a result, a child may have no motivation to work when he or she will grow up. Another problem that can have children who have jobs is low GPA rate at school. A minor that works will have less time for revising the knowledge that he or she acquired at school and doing homework which is influential on a mark that will have a student. Consequently, it is hard to combine two activities and, moreover, do it well.
In conclusion, not only doing paid work has benefits, but also it leads to low school grades and mental exhaustion.
