Many people claim that although paid work may be thoughtful by some to be a good skill for children, some people believe it can be detrimental. In my opinion, paid work is useful for children compared to any advantages it might bring.
Firstly, one benefit of children doing paid work is that they understand the value of money. For example, if they earn money, they would learn how to spend money and they would not waste it. Secondly, having a paid job is advantageous because they may help their family. In addition, they can supply themselves with their own income. For instance, in school, children may buy books and they can purchase different prizes for their mother and sister. Moreover, children would learn to be independent and would not depend on their parents financially if they have a paid job.
Firstly, one drawback when children have a job is that they may be distracted from their education. Currently, many children want to be independent and earn money. As a result, they are working at restaurants and cafes. Secondly, their rights and freedoms are not protected by the government because, in the Constitution, it is prohibited. Thirdly, according to global statistics, many children have a part-time job, and they do not want to study at university and get a PhD.
Taking everything into consideration, I would conclude that while children can benefit from some work experience, it can also lead to exploitation or lower grades at school.
