While sharing information can solve global problems, I believe that this can lead to the loss of the competitive race among rivals.
First and foremost, disclosing some valuable and useful information can address worldwide problems. In other words, scientific research can find solutions to important problems in a country or city. Scientists can fix issues such as pandemics and disease control. For example, science plays an important role in pandemics; that is, they are responsible for researching the virus and understanding its behavior and finding solutions.
While others believe that this can solve global problems, I consider that sharing precious and beneficial data can lead to the damage of competition. That is, several professions, such as businesses, scientists, chefs, and also culinarians, hide their valuable information. Scientists hide their research results, and culinarians hide their recipes, in order to stand out from their rivals. Take Starbucks, for example. They keep their recipes proprietary and conceal their syrups and ingredients in order to maintain a competitive edge.
