Nowadays, with the rapid development in the economy, technology, and finance, lots of people have forgotten the importance of preserving the environment. Personally, I strongly agree with this statement that protecting the natural habitat is more important than improving the economy. Firstly, the best environment is the key to the development of the economy; secondly, pollution can cause many diseases that influence human health.
Initially, a good environment is the most important point to advance a country’s economy. To help a country become wealthier, the first thing to do is to clean the habitat where people live as it will heighten the living quality which is a starting point for a stable developed country. For instance, Pakistan, one of the most polluted nations in the world, cannot grow its economy as the government has to spend more money on cleaning up the environment. Furthermore, if the environment is too dirty, tourism cannot improve as people do not want to travel to a polluted country. Hence, I firmly agree with this statement about protecting the environment first.
Likewise, a poor ambiance will bring plenty of diseases and viruses to the citizens who live there. A country with so many people being sick will not increase the economic rate. Moreover, the money will only pay for medicines and vaccines which leads to many poor families and the nation’s economy will decrease. Besides, the citizens cannot devote themselves to the country if they do not have enough health and money. For example, in Africa, many people are dying every day because of diseases and bad habitats. With the shortage of population, Africa’s countries can not manufacture. Therefore, I believe that the environment is the most important thing that has to be a priority.
In conclusion, I flexibly agree that deserving the living habitats is the most important. A good atmosphere where people can enjoy living will enhance the quality of life and also develop a lot of industries such as tourism. For this reason, I recommend that the government should focus on the environment than anything else.
