It is believed that traveling foreign countries in order to learn about other cultures is important, while others think travelling is not necessary because of modern technologies like TV and Internet. While both of these could be true to some extent, I agree with the former view with the two reasons outlined below.
One might argue that, advanced technologies are good source of information, so people don’t have to travel abroad in order to explore other countries. This is because, it is the cheapest way of travelling. In the internet and other social media sites have amount of data about everything such as other cultures, their tradition, historical places and etc. Most of these information are reliable and according to the facts. For example, there is available pictures and videos in the google about the most famous cities like London and Paris. So people can easily access it and explore it visually rather than physically visiting there and wasting money. Moreover, number of people can not afford to travel physically because of their financial income and exploring and learning online about other countries is the best way for them.
However, I personally feel that physically visiting to foreign countries is superior rather than watching online information. For one, it gives real atmosphere of the particular country. For instance, people might have more chance to discover the city whilel visiting famous and historical places and feel the vibe. This is because, watching buildings such as Eifel and Pisa in real life is absolutely different from their pictures. Moreover, it is also great way to try countries’ cuisine which is advanced technologies can not provide while exploring the country online. Although it is expensive to travel abroad, it is worth to travel around rhe world.
In conclusion, even though watching the different countries online from TV or internet is affordable, it doesn’t give much experience and expressions rather than physically travelling to the country itself. Such travels provide more opportunities for people who really interested in discovering new cultures and food.
