Many people believe that every individual is responsible for reducing atmospheric pollution, while others think that the government and big organizations should work on it. I believe in a balanced approach; although it is the responsibility of the government to implement targeted measures, every citizen should play a role in reducing pollution by using recycled products and using public transport. In this essay, I will discuss both viewpoints before presenting my own opinion.
On the one hand, people believe that it is the duty of every person to reduce pollution. There are numerous ways to do this. First and foremost, people should avoid using private vehicles, because air pollution is caused by engine emissions. As a result, it causes breathing problems and lung-related issues. Moreover, people should use solar panels and wind power instead of power engines, as these are more cost-effective and environmentally friendly. Furthermore, citizens should use recyclable resources rather than using plastic bags.
However, the opponents believe that it is the responsibility of the government and other big companies to take action in reducing pollution. One of the reasons is that they have bigger resources and funds to implement significant solutions. Additionally, the government should expand public transport, along with encouraging citizens to use public transport instead of their own cars. Educational institutes and other companies should encourage their students and employees, respectively, by promoting environmentally friendly resources.
In my opinion, while it is the primary responsibility of governments to secure the environment by reducing pollution, every person should work on their end. This is because of the fact that environmental pollution has a negative impact on everyone’s health and causes widespread destruction if not handled carefully.
In conclusion, although the government should work on introducing targeted measures and expanding the electric bus and train network, people should also use environmentally friendly items and change their lifestyles.
