Mental health is for sure an important factor for being successful in sports ,it goes without saying that not even one athlete has ever been really good at their job with low mental health .Why is that ?I guess the mental health mostly affects on their performance on the other levels ,which not everyone can understand and realize how significant they are .An athlete with a high level of preparation and strong mentality can easily win his opponents just by being mentally more prepared and healthy in a good way ,even if they have the same skills and percentage of winning ,the mentally weaker one can unintentionally show not his best play just by decreased mental health ,which eventually makes his chances lower from the beginning .It can be explained that an athlete with mental issues already loses mind games against his opponent ,and by that giving him a chance to crush his spirit as well, so obviously it will end with not in the best way .Mental health is one the most crucial and major factors for success in sports because it can make athletes more motivated and goal-orientated and by it increasing their chances of winning ,for instance :There are a lot of stories when underdogs took over stronger opponents just by being eager and mentally more prepared ,like Leister in Premium League 2015/2016 began their season at the bottom of table and having literally just 2 or 3 average players didnt pretend to win anything at this year ,it how a lot of people thought at this time ,but as you know Leister surprisingly won at this year ,and all critics and football experts were astonished by it, in my opinion it was entirely based on how mentally strong and ready their were for every upcoming game.
I assume that if you as a team or just a singular athlete strive to win more and more ,and staying as efficient as possible ,you have to keep your mental health on the good and stable level ,or if you mentally weak, your major goal then to boost it .
Even though its logically understandable that just by being mentally ready ,you cant always win ,sometimes its unfortune or the gap between the abilities could be so wide that no even the strongest mentality can not do anything against it .In this cases to be fair nothing is gonna help ,unless you just accept the loss and learn from mistakes you have done ,and figure it out what was wrong with you ,it can be a wrong approach or just misfortune or physical issues and etc ,from this you can digest that not every loss can be blamed on the mental part of yours .For sure mental health plays can be considered as one of the most important parts in sports ,but at the same time its not an only factor which can fundamentally affect on your states or performance ,which means that in one way it drastically give you a clear picture what you have to do for being a winner at the end ,but also your physical abilities with knowledges of tactics if its necessary can be as helpful as menta health .
In conclusion I can confidently say that mental health is undoubtedly very vital fact for success ,even though it cant be considered as only pretext for having losses over and over again ,of course on the other hand it can be one of the reasons ,but statistics shows that mostly its juts pure training or preparation which makes success unachievable.
