Some people believe that government should prioritize investment in bicycles for people, especially those living in cities, while others claim that public transportation holds much more significant importance. This essay will discuss both perspectives before presenting my own opinion.
On the one hand, people who support bicycle systems in cities believe that with urbanization, people, especially in major cities, struggle with environmental degradation such as air pollution. They support that the government should assist with finance to encourage riding a bicycle among people. Such aid can help reduce environmental damage which is caused by vehicle emissions. Additionally, riding bicycle can also maximize profit for users, because they are much cheaper compared than the other way to transportation
On the other hand, supporters of public transportation contend that people, particularly when commuting, need to save time, and the bicycle system may lead to delays. As a result, people cannot catch their schedule. They claim that the public ones, such as buses and tramways, can be affordable for all backgrounds. This action contributes to environmental sustainability because it leads to fewer people driving alone, reducing air pollution. Furthermore, citiziens can access any part of cities with public transportation safety and this enable people to travel in extreme weather conditions. That’s why investment in public create more inviting atmosphere.
To conclude, while both public transportation and bicycle improvements offer unique benefits in addressing environmental and traffic-related issues, I believe that a balanced investment in both is essential. Together, they can create a more efficient, accessible, and sustainable transportation network for the future.
