Children are the future of a nation. They should be taught properly in order to become good members of society. Some people claim that parents should teach their children how to be good members of society, while others disagree with this perspective. In my view, both parents and schools play an equal role in teaching children how to be good citizens.
To begin with, parents are considered the first teachers of their children. For instance, they spend most of their time with them and can shape their behaviors as they see fit. Parents bear more responsibility for their children’s upbringing compared to teachers. Likewise, it is a parent’s responsibility to guide their children and help them become good members of society. Children learn many things from their parents; therefore, parents must always be mindful of what they demonstrate to their children.
On the other hand, schools are also considered fundamental places where children learn a wide variety of things. Schools provide essential knowledge and skills that help improve children’s character. They educate students about various societal issues and offer solutions to address them, thus helping to develop a strong sense of justice.
In conclusion, to become good members of society, children need to be taught by both parents and schools. Both are responsible for the growth and development of children.
