It is often argue that children should focus mainly on learning practical skills at schools, such as financial management or cooking, rather than academic subjects. Although each has its own advantages, I believe that a balanced curriculum that incorporates both practical skills and academic knowledge is essential for students’ overall development.
On the one hand, many people think schools should teach children practical skills. The reason for this is that education play an important role to prepare students for adult life. Financial literacy, for instance, can create foundation for children to manage their expenses effectively and avoid unnecessary spending in adulthood. As a result, they maybe better prepared to make informed important decisions when they get older. However, teaching students practicial skills should be duty of both schools and parents. Only when schools and parents collaborate together can students recieve a well-rounded education.
On the other hand, some individuals believe students should focus mainly on academic subjects at schools. This is because academic knowledge provide the theoretical foundation necessary for intellectual development and future career oppotunities. To illustrate, subjects like mathermatics, science or literature enhance critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills which are essential for various professions. Moveover, a strong foundation in these areas increase oppotunities for students to pursue specialized jobs like medicine, engineering or laws. Without traditional education, children can lack of knowledge to develop in competitive market jobs.
In conclusion, both practical skills and academic subjects bring children benefits to prepare for aduld life. However, I think schools should make conditons for children can access a holistic approach to education.
