The statement about schools should no longer use books and instead use films, TV, and computers for learning are controversial and considerable debate. While some people view that schools use films, TV, and computers served better education if compared with books learning based, but others believe books still hold its purpose in school. Both perspectives have merit, but I believe that books are still one of the best source to deliver an information especially in education field.
On one hand, people that believe about the education has to be served using films, TV, and computers often think of how easy it is to get an information from internet and the fun parts about it is films and TV has a video that will help students picture what they are learning at the moment. Scientist says learning by watching is better than imagining the incident because your brain will be easier to catch the information.
However, there are many concerns about deleting books from school. One of them is that books actually help student to learn how to read. In addition, books can be carried everywhere. Therefore, student can study the matter wherever they are. Books in these modern era still serve its purpose as previously mentioned.
In my opinion, books should be remain in school because the versatility its given, it is important to check for another information source such as the internet but the two of them could really work together and fulfilling the purpose of giving information in education or scientific field.
In conclusion, although the challenge from modern era such as TV, Movie, and Computers can really demolished the presence of books as a source of information. It is important that people think about the benefit of books if compared to others.
