In these days, several individuals suppose that young generations can widen their knowledge of the world through visiting to different countries. From my perspective, I partly agree with this statement and in this essay, I would explore the benefits of this idea before proposing other effective methods that can bring the similar expectation.
There are several reasons that can explain why this initiative can be seen as beneficial. In the past, people’s understanding about the outside world seemed to be limited as they did not have chance to explore new places. Thanks to the development of transport such as plane, cultural exchange has been fostered as people can travel to various nations to expose and experience the cultural life in the local areas. Through direct experience, youngsters can see difference in tradition, belief and lifestyle among countries, as a result, gaining a deeper insight into the world.
However, this method cannot applied to awide rage of younger people as it costs them a fortune to implement. Consequently, researching through Internet can be seen as a more possible solution. Owing to the enhancement of technology, local people now can share videos, clips or images of their hometown on social network platforms such as Facebook or Threads, which permit residents from other countries approach various cultural identities on the Internet. This method allows people to access to cultural customs from all over the world easily without costing a large amount of money for traveling fees.
In conclusion, although traveling to other countries can be seen as a good way to broaden young people’s knowledge about the world, I believe that implementing other effiicient methods such as searching related information on the internet would yield a similar outcome with lower costs.
