A group of people believe the best option to receive any news is through newspapers while the other group prefers online media. I think the best option to get any news is through the medium of online platforms. This essay will discuss both the mentioned views as well as my opinion on this debate.

Newspapers have been one of the oldest and most conventional medium to get any news around the whole world. Newspapers bring the latest information about every issue that is going on all over the world first thing in the morning. Generally, the national newspapers of any nation are written in the country’s mother language which makes it easier for the citizens from all classes and professions to read the newspapers. Furthermore, each of the states or districts of a country publishes their local newspapers highlighting the local news and updates. In this way, newspapers can reach every corner of a country to deliver the news to its residents. At the current age, mostly the elder generation and job holders normally have held on to the practice of reading newspapers.

In the recent age of information and technology, online news portals have prominently gained much popularity among the younger generation. The main advantage of online news media is that with an internet connection, the latest updates can instantly be accessed from anywhere in the world. The online news media including online newspapers and social media deliver us with any breaking news right at the moment it has been taking place from anywhere in any continent. Unlike newspapers, in the case of online news portals, the readers do not have to wait a day to get the latest updates on national and international issues. In addition to news articles and photos, online news media can attach multiple relevant media like audio or video for the authentication of the news.

From my perspective, the best way to learn news is through the medium of online news portals. This is because, I can access the news from anywhere at any time. Furthermore, I do not have to wait till the next day to get recent news rather news is often broadcast live through online platforms. So, news is conveniently reached out to people without any delay through online news. In addition to written articles, supporting video or audio can be seen through online news portals.
