People have two different standpoints regarding whether increasing the minimum legal driving age to make roads safer is a positive development. Even if the former supports a partly correct way to solve the problem, I support the latter’s thoughts. Since the real issue does not depend on the children, the parents are actually responsible for them.
Firstly, limitations can prevent thousands of accidents caused by young drivers. Nowadays, teenagers are full of adrenaline and need to expend their energy; thus, cars are sometimes used to facilitate this process. Because of children’s actions, mothers lose their sons, daughters, and even their husbands. For example, last year in my school, three guys who used a car-sharing service became victims; they accidentally lost control of the car and crashed head-on into a truck. In my region, car crashes involving teenagers happen every week, sometimes even more frequently.
Moreover, my friends also drive cars. My opinion is that the reason for driving matters.
Most of them are working as delivery men or truck drivers. Since their economic situations are not well-organized, they are trying to help their parents, and I do not think that they should suffer because of the actions of their peers. For instance, Toshmat drives his to transport clients, while Eshmat drives to show that he is rich. The reason matters, as I said before.
In conclusion, everyone should be judged by their use of a driver’s license, and a new type of decision should be found.
